Restoration of ambulation during recovery from TBI using partial weight-bearing gait retraning
Abstract:
For several years, gait retraining therapy has been used effectively to help patients with strokes and spinal cord injuries learn how to walk again. This project investigates if the use of gait retraining therapy is effective in the treatment of individuals with traumatic brain injuries. This project compares patients who receive the gait retraining therapy and normal physical therapy to those who receive the physical therapy alone.
